Download and open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Sign in with your Amazon account
Plug in your Alexa device and wait for the light ring to turn orange
In the Alexa app, tap Devices
Tap the plus icon
Select Add Device
Choose Amazon Echo or your Alexa device type
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to Wi-Fi
Select your Wi-Fi network
Enter your Wi-Fi password
Wait for the device to finish setup
Set your device location and language if prompted
Test Alexa by saying a wake word and a simple command
Enable or disable skills in the Alexa app as needed
Adjust device settings in the Alexa app if required
