Open Instagram and find the Reel you want to download
Tap the share icon or three-dot menu on the Reel
Check whether the Download option is available
If Download is available, tap it to save the Reel to your device
If Download is not available, copy the Reel link
Open a trusted Reel downloader website or app
Paste the copied link into the downloader
Tap the download button
Choose the video quality if prompted
Save the video to your device
If the Reel is your own, use Instagram’s Save to Camera Roll or archive export options if available
Make sure you have permission before downloading someone else’s content
