Turn off or delete any active VPN
Go to Settings
Tap Security or Biometrics and security
Tap Device admin apps
Disable any app with admin access if not needed
Go to Settings
Tap Accessibility
Turn off any suspicious accessibility service
Go to Settings
Tap Apps
Find and uninstall any VPN, security, or profile app causing the key icon
Restart the phone
Check for a work profile in Settings
Remove the work profile if present
Reset network settings if the icon remains
Contact your carrier or device admin if the phone is managed
