Log in to HDFC NetBanking or the HDFC MobileBanking app
Go to the service request or account closure section
Select the account you want to close
Fill in the closure request form
Provide the reason for account closure
Submit any required KYC or identity details
Ensure the account has a zero or required minimum balance
Clear all pending transactions, loans, EMIs, and standing instructions
Download or save account statements if needed
Submit the online closure request
Note the reference number or service request number
Wait for HDFC Bank to process and confirm the closure request
If online closure is not available for your account type, request closure through customer care or visit the branch
