Measure from the base to the top using a tape measure or height scale
Stand straight with feet flat and heels against a wall
Keep your head level and eyes looking forward
Mark the top of the head on the wall
Measure the distance from the floor to the mark
Use a stadiometer for the most accurate result
For objects, measure from the bottom point to the highest point
For buildings or tall structures, use a laser distance meter or trigonometry
For trigonometry, use the formula: height = distance × tan(angle)
Add any base elevation if the object is on a raised surface
