Gather waxes, oils, butters, pigments, and optional flavor or fragrance
Sanitize all tools, containers, and work surfaces
Measure the ingredients by weight
Melt the waxes and butters in a heat-safe container
Add the oils and mix until smooth
Disperse the pigments into the oil phase until fully blended
Combine the pigment mixture with the melted wax mixture
Stir continuously until the mixture is uniform
Add any optional additives and mix well
Pour the liquid lipstick mixture into molds or lipstick tubes
Let it cool and harden completely
Remove from molds if needed
Cap and store the finished lipstick properly
