Cool the pan completely
Rinse with hot water
Scrub with a stiff brush or non-metal scrub pad
If needed, use coarse salt as an abrasive and scrub
For stuck-on food, simmer a small amount of water for 3–5 minutes, then scrub
Avoid soap if possible; if soap is used, rinse thoroughly
Dry immediately with a towel
Heat on the stove on low for 1–2 minutes to fully evaporate moisture
Lightly oil the cooking surface with a thin layer of neutral oil (or flaxseed oil)
Wipe off excess oil
Store in a dry place
