How To Clean Leather?

Remove dust and loose dirt with a dry, soft cloth or soft brush

Test any cleaner on a hidden area first

For light cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth

For deeper cleaning, use a leather cleaner or mild soap solution (very small amount)

Wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue

Dry naturally at room temperature; avoid heat sources and direct sunlight

For conditioning, apply a leather conditioner evenly with a soft cloth

Allow conditioner to absorb, then buff with a dry cloth

For stains, blot immediately with a clean cloth; use a leather-safe stain remover if needed

For ink/grease/oil stains, use a leather-specific cleaner or stain product designed for leather

Store leather in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat

Keep leather protected with a leather conditioner and, when appropriate, a leather protector/water repellent

Avoid soaking leather, harsh chemicals, ammonia, bleach, alcohol, and abrasive scrubbers

Avoid over-wetting seams, stitching, and edges

If leather gets wet, blot gently, then air-dry at room temperature and condition after drying
