How To Clear Formatting In Word?

Select the text you want to clear formatting (or press Ctrl + A to select all).

Go to the Home tab.

In the Font group, click the Clear All Formatting button (the eraser icon).

If you don’t see the eraser icon, click the dropdown next to it and choose Clear All Formatting.

To remove formatting from a specific style, apply Normal style:

Go to the Home tab.

In the Styles group, click Normal.

To remove manual line/paragraph formatting:

Select the text.

Go to the Home tab.

In the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing dropdown and choose Remove Space After/Before.
