How To Cook The Chicken Breast?

Pat chicken breasts dry

Season both sides with salt and black pepper

Optional: add garlic powder, paprika, and/or Italian seasoning

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

Add 1–2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter + oil)

Place chicken in the pan

Cook 5–8 minutes per side (until golden)

Check doneness with a thermometer: 165°F / 74°C in the thickest part

If using thicker breasts, reduce heat and cook longer until 165°F / 74°C

Remove chicken from the pan

Rest 5 minutes before slicing or serving

Optional: finish with lemon juice and/or a splash of chicken broth for extra moisture
