Percentile = (Number of candidates scoring less than you ÷ Total number of candidates) × 100
Percentile = [(Rank of candidate − 1) ÷ Total candidates] × 100
Percentile score is not the same as percentage marks
In NEET, percentile is based on relative performance, not direct marks
If your rank is 1, your percentile is 100
If your rank is last, your percentile is close to 0
Example: If 10,000 candidates are below you out of 20,000 total, percentile = (10,000 ÷ 20,000) × 100 = 50
NEET qualifying percentile is usually:
General category: 50th percentile
OBC/SC/ST: 40th percentile
General-PwD: 45th percentile
OBC/SC/ST-PwD: 40th percentile
