Open Gmail in a web browser (mail.google.com).
In the search bar, use one of these queries:
Unread: `is:unread`
From a sender: `from:example@gmail.com`
With a subject: `subject:”keyword”`
With attachments: `has:attachment`
Older than a date: `before:2024/01/01`
Larger than a size: `larger:10M`
Press Enter to run the search.
Select emails:
Click the checkbox at the top-left to select all messages on the current page.
If a banner appears like “Select all conversations that match this search,” click it to select all matching emails.
Click the Trash icon to delete the selected emails.
To permanently delete:
Open Trash (left sidebar).
Select messages (or click “Empty Trash now”).
Confirm when prompted.
To delete in the Gmail app:
Open the Gmail app.
Use search with the same query filters.
Tap and hold an email to start selecting.
Select additional emails.
Tap the Trash icon.
Optionally empty Trash from the Trash folder.
