Unplug the Keurig and remove the water reservoir lid
Empty the water reservoir completely
Fill the reservoir with descaling solution up to the “MAX” line
Add water to the reservoir if your descaling solution directions require dilution
Place a large mug on the drip tray to catch liquid
Power on the Keurig
Remove any K-Cup pod from the pod holder
Run a brew cycle without a K-Cup (use the largest cup size)
Discard the contents of the mug
Repeat brew cycles until the “ADD WATER” light turns on or the reservoir is empty
Rinse the reservoir thoroughly and fill it with fresh water
Run multiple brew cycles with fresh water (no K-Cup), discarding each mugful, until the “ADD WATER” light no longer appears and the water reservoir is empty
Allow the Keurig to cool briefly, then reassemble and plug it back in
If scale remains or the taste persists, repeat the fresh-water rinsing cycles or repeat the full descaling process
