Open WhatsApp
Go to the Chats tab
On iPhone, swipe left on the chat you want to archive
On Android, long-press the chat you want to archive
Tap Archive
To archive multiple chats, select them first and then tap Archive
To archive all chats, open WhatsApp Settings
Tap Chats
Tap Archive All Chats if available on your device
To view archived chats, scroll to the top or bottom of the Chats list and open Archived
To unarchive a chat, swipe left on iPhone or long-press on Android and tap Unarchive
To keep chats archived, turn on Keep Chats Archived in WhatsApp settings if available
