Check if the message is still visible in your phone’s notification history
Restore WhatsApp from a recent backup if the message was deleted after the backup was made
Use WhatsApp’s chat backup feature to recover deleted messages from Google Drive or iCloud
Ask the other person to resend the deleted message
Check exported chat files if you previously exported the conversation
Review any third-party notification log apps if they were already installed before the message was deleted
Look in linked devices if the message may still be visible there
Verify whether the message was deleted for everyone or only for you
Use local backups on Android if available to restore an older chat version
Keep in mind that messages deleted before any backup or notification record cannot usually be recovered
