Click and hold the left mouse button on the item
Move the mouse while holding the button down
Release the button to drop the item
On a touchpad, tap twice and hold on the second tap, then move your finger
Release your finger to drop the item
If drag does not work, check touchpad settings or mouse button settings
Make sure the touchpad or mouse is enabled
Try using an external mouse if needed
