Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet
Turn off the water supply valves
Place towels or a shallow tray under the machine
Locate the drain hose at the back of the washer
Lower the drain hose into a bucket or floor drain
Remove the drain hose cap or clamp if present
Let the water flow out completely
Open the pump filter access panel if your machine has one
Place a shallow container under the filter area
Slowly unscrew the pump filter to release trapped water
Clean the filter and remove any debris
Reinstall the filter securely
Reattach the drain hose and secure it properly
Run a drain or spin cycle if needed to remove remaining water
Check for leaks before using the machine again
