Open the link in a browser to start the chat
Use the WhatsApp app’s “new chat” or “search” feature if the number is already in your recent chats or groups
Use a third-party “click to chat” shortcut only if you trust the source
On Android, you can also use a direct `wa.me` link from your browser or notes app
On iPhone, paste the `wa.me` link into Safari and open it
If the number is not on WhatsApp, the chat will not open
Make sure the country code is included correctly
