Identify where roaches are coming from
Clean all food crumbs, grease, and spills immediately
Store food in sealed containers
Take out trash daily and use a tight lid
Do not leave pet food out overnight
Fix leaks and remove standing water
Seal cracks, gaps, and pipe openings
Caulk around baseboards, sinks, and cabinets
Vacuum regularly, including under appliances
Empty vacuum contents outside right away
Use roach baits in cabinets, under sinks, and behind appliances
Place gel bait in cracks and crevices
Use sticky traps to monitor activity
Apply boric acid lightly in hidden areas if safe to use
Use an insect growth regulator if available
Avoid spraying repellent sprays near baits
Clean clutter and reduce hiding spots
Wash dishes promptly and do not leave them in the sink
Keep drains clean and covered when not in use
Ask the landlord or property manager for pest control
Treat adjacent units if the infestation is shared
Repeat treatment consistently for several weeks
Call a professional exterminator if the problem persists
