Clean the plastic with mild soap and water
Dry it completely with a soft microfiber cloth
Test any method on a small hidden area first
Use a plastic polish or scratch remover with a soft cloth
Rub gently in small circular motions
Wipe off residue and check the scratch
Repeat if needed
For light scratches, use non-gel toothpaste on a soft cloth
Rub gently, then wipe clean
For deeper scratches, use very fine wet sandpaper only if the plastic is hard and clear
Sand lightly with water in one direction
Finish with plastic polish
Use a heat gun very carefully only on certain plastics
Keep the heat moving and use low heat
Stop immediately if the plastic warps
Replace the item if the scratch is too deep to remove
