Use the bureau’s website, app, phone line, or mail option
Provide your PIN, password, or account verification details
Request a temporary lift or permanent removal of the freeze
Specify the dates or creditors allowed to access your report, if using a temporary lift
Confirm the freeze has been removed or lifted
Save the confirmation number or email
Repeat the process for all three major bureaus if needed
Check that the freeze is active again after a temporary lift ends, if applicable
