Thread each lace end through the bottom eyelets from the outside in
Pull both ends so the lace is even on both sides
Cross the left lace over the right lace
Thread each end through the next eyelet up on the opposite side
Pull the laces snug
Repeat the cross-and-thread pattern up the shoe
Keep the tension even on both sides
Finish by threading the laces through the top eyelets
Tie a knot or bow at the top
Adjust the tightness as needed
