How To Peel A Butternut Squash?

Wash and dry the squash

Cut off the stem and bottom ends

Microwave the squash for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the skin, if desired

Stand the squash upright on a stable cutting board

Use a sharp vegetable peeler or a sharp knife

Peel from top to bottom in long strokes

Rotate the squash and continue until all skin is removed

Cut the squash in half if needed for easier peeling

Scoop out the seeds before further cutting

Trim any remaining tough skin with a knife
