Choose a suitcase with enough space to avoid crushing the suit
Empty the suit pockets
Button the jacket and smooth it flat
Turn one shoulder inside out
Fold the other shoulder into the inside-out shoulder
Fold the jacket in half lengthwise
Place tissue paper or dry-cleaning plastic between folds if available
Fold the trousers along the crease
Fold the trousers in half or thirds to fit the suitcase
Lay the jacket on top of the trousers
Place the suit near the top of the suitcase
Put heavier items around the suit, not on top of it
Close the suitcase carefully to avoid compressing the suit
Unpack and hang the suit as soon as possible
