Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
Tap your name at the top
Tap iCloud
Tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage
Select the app or backup you want to remove
Tap Delete Data or Delete Backup
Turn off iCloud sync for apps you do not want to store in iCloud
Delete old photos, videos, files, and messages from iCloud
Empty the Recently Deleted folder in Photos and Files
On a Mac, open System Settings
Click your Apple ID
Click iCloud
Click Manage
Delete backups, files, or app data you no longer need
On iCloud.com, sign in with your Apple ID
Open Drive, Photos, or Mail
Delete unwanted items
Empty the Recently Deleted folder
If needed, downgrade your iCloud+ plan in your Apple ID subscription settings
If needed, cancel iCloud+ to stop paid storage charges
