Unplug or remove the mop from the bucket if needed
Hold the mop handle firmly
Locate the mop head attachment point
Press the release tab or button if your model has one
Pull the mop head straight off the base
Twist the mop head counterclockwise if it is a screw-on type
Slide the mop head off the mop frame if it uses a loop or clip system
Wash your hands after removal if the mop head is dirty
