Open Discord
Right-click the server icon
Select Server Settings
Go to Overview
Rename the server if needed
Move important channels into an Archive category
Set all channels to read-only by editing permissions
Remove send message permissions for members
Lock voice channels by removing connect permissions
Delete or disable invite links
Pin important messages in archived channels
Export or save important files and messages manually
Back up server data using approved third-party tools if allowed
Transfer ownership if someone else will manage the archive
Leave the server active but locked if you want it preserved
Delete the server if you want a permanent removal instead of archiving
