Turn off and unplug the vacuum
Remove the vacuum filter
Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust
Rinse the filter if it is washable
Use lukewarm water only
Do not use soap unless the manufacturer allows it
Shake off excess water
Let the filter air-dry completely
Do not use heat to dry the filter
Reinstall the filter only when fully dry
Replace the filter if it is damaged or non-washable
