Let the glue dry completely
Scrape off any hardened excess with a dull knife or spoon
Test acetone on a hidden area of the fabric first
Place a paper towel or clean cloth under the stained area
Dab the stain with acetone-based nail polish remover using a cotton ball
Blot gently and repeat until the glue softens
Lift softened glue with a dull edge
Rinse the area with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent to the spot
Gently rub the detergent into the fabric
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Air-dry the item and check the stain before using heat
Repeat the treatment if any glue remains
For delicate fabrics, use rubbing alcohol or take the item to a dry cleaner
