2 oz whisky
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 egg white, optional
Ice
Add whisky, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker
Dry shake if using egg white
Add ice and shake again until well chilled
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or into a chilled coupe
Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry
