Remove the laces from the shoes
Insert each lace end into the bottom eyelets from the outside in
Pull both ends so they are even
Cross the left lace over the right lace
Thread the left lace through the next right eyelet from the inside out
Thread the right lace through the next left eyelet from the inside out
Repeat the crisscross pattern up the shoe
Keep the laces flat as you go
Adjust the tension evenly on both sides
Thread the final lace ends through the top eyelets
Tie the laces in a knot or bow
Tuck in any excess lace if needed
