Place a pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish
Prick the crust lightly with a fork
Blind bake the crust for 10 to 15 minutes
Remove the crust and let it cool slightly
Whisk together 4 eggs and 1 cup of milk or cream
Add salt and pepper to taste
Stir in shredded cheese
Add cooked fillings such as bacon, ham, spinach, onions, mushrooms, or vegetables
Pour the mixture into the pie crust
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the center is set
Let the quiche cool for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing
Serve warm or at room temperature
