Drain the tofu from its package
Remove the tofu block and discard the liquid
Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels
Place the wrapped tofu on a plate or cutting board
Put a flat plate or tray on top of the tofu
Add a heavy object on top, such as a pan or canned goods
Let it press for 15 to 30 minutes
Replace wet towels if needed
Unwrap the tofu and use it as desired
