Select the text you want to clear formatting from
Press Ctrl+Space to remove character formatting
Press Ctrl+Q to remove paragraph formatting
Go to Home
Click Clear All Formatting in the Font group
Use the Clear Formatting option in the Styles pane if needed
Paste as plain text to avoid bringing in formatting
Use the Format Painter only when you want to copy formatting, not remove it
