Keep your Airtel prepaid or postpaid plan active
Turn on mobile data
Enable 5G or 5G Auto in your phone’s network settings
Set the preferred network type to 5G/4G/3G/2G Auto
Restart your phone after changing the settings
Update your phone software if needed
Update the Airtel Thanks app if needed
Wait for the 5G signal to appear on your phone
Use Airtel 5G when available without any separate activation in most cases
