Check whether the Walmart gift card is already activated at purchase
If it was bought in-store, ask the cashier to activate it during checkout
If it was purchased online, follow the activation instructions in the confirmation email or account page
If it is a physical card, scan or enter it at the register when paying to activate it
If it is a digital card, open the email or Walmart account and use the card code as instructed
Verify the card balance on Walmart’s gift card balance page or by calling the customer service number on the card
If the card does not work, contact Walmart customer support with the card number and purchase receipt
