How To Add A 2nd Drive To Lenovo M710S?

Power off the Lenovo M710s and unplug the power cord

Remove the side cover

Check for an available 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive bay

Check for an unused SATA data port on the motherboard

Check for an unused SATA power connector from the power supply

If needed, install a drive bracket or caddy for the second drive

Mount the second drive in the available bay

Connect a SATA data cable from the drive to the motherboard

Connect a SATA power cable from the power supply to the drive

Reinstall the side cover

Plug the power cord back in and power on the system

Enter BIOS or Windows Disk Management to verify the drive is detected

Initialize, partition, and format the drive if required
