Open your Google Sheet
Click the column letter next to where you want the new column
Right-click the selected column
Choose Insert 1 left or Insert 1 right
Use the Insert menu at the top and select Column left or Column right
On mobile, tap the column letter, then tap Insert column left or Insert column right
