Download the mod files from a trusted source
Check the mod requirements and compatibility
Install any required mod loader or framework if the mod needs one
Locate the Hogwarts Legacy installation folder on your PC
Open the `Phoenix` folder inside the game directory
Open the `Content` folder
Open the `Paks` folder
Create a `~mods` folder if it does not already exist
Extract the mod files if they are compressed
Copy the mod `.pak`, `.utoc`, and `.ucas` files into the `~mods` folder
Keep the mod file names unchanged unless the mod author says otherwise
Launch the game and check that the mod is working
Remove the mod files from the `~mods` folder to uninstall the mod
Back up your save files before adding or removing mods
Update or remove mods after game patches if they stop working
