Pour it slowly into the water
Let the water circulate for 20 to 30 minutes
Retest the alkalinity
Repeat in small doses until the level is in range
If alkalinity is high, add pH decreaser or dry acid
Use small amounts and follow the label directions
Keep the pump running while adding the chemical
Circulate the water for 20 to 30 minutes
Retest the alkalinity
Repeat in small doses until the level is in range
Recheck pH after adjusting alkalinity
Balance pH if needed
Avoid adding multiple chemicals at the same time
Keep the hot tub cover open during chemical circulation if recommended by the product label
Test the water again after a few hours or the next day
