Ensure the firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction
Verify the exact MK 2 sight type and manufacturer instructions before adjusting
Use the correct sight adjustment tool for the rear sight
Move the rear sight in the direction you want the point of impact to move
Raise the rear sight to impact higher and lower it to impact lower, if the design allows elevation adjustment
Drift the front sight only if the sight design is meant to be adjusted that way
Move the front sight opposite the direction you want the point of impact to move
Make small adjustments only
Test fire after each adjustment
Repeat until point of impact matches point of aim
Have a qualified gunsmith perform the adjustment if the sights are tight, damaged, or non-adjustable
