Sit in the driver’s seat in your normal driving position
Adjust the seat and steering wheel first
Move the left mirror so you can see a small part of your car and the lane beside you
Move the right mirror so you can see a small part of your car and the lane beside you
Keep the horizon centered in each mirror
Minimize the amount of car visible in the mirrors
Check that the blind spots are reduced
Verify both mirrors show the road behind and adjacent lanes
Make small adjustments until the view feels balanced
Recheck the mirrors after changing seat position or passengers load the car
