Plug the webcam’s USB cable into an available USB port on the laptop
If the webcam has a built-in USB connector, unfold or extend it as needed
Place the webcam on the top edge of the laptop screen
Adjust the clip or mount so it grips the screen securely
Position the webcam so the lens faces you directly
Tighten any adjustable hinge or stand to keep it stable
If the webcam uses a tripod, attach it to the tripod and place it near the laptop
Connect any required power cable if the webcam is not USB-powered
Install the webcam driver or software if prompted by the laptop
Open the camera app or video call app to confirm the webcam is working
