Preheat the oven to 400°F to 425°F
Wash and dry the Brussels sprouts
Trim the stem ends
Remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves
Cut larger sprouts in half
Place the Brussels sprouts in a bowl
Add olive oil, salt, and pepper
Toss to coat evenly
Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet
Place cut side down for better browning
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes
Flip halfway through if desired
Remove when tender and browned
Serve immediately
