Plan your design on paper before placing anything on the cap
Clean the cap surface so the glue adheres properly
Protect the cap by placing wax paper inside it while decorating
Mark the design lightly with a pencil
Apply glue in small sections
Place rhinestones or gems onto the glue with tweezers
Press each piece gently to secure it
Work from the center of the design outward
Let each section dry before moving to the next
Add larger gems first, then fill in with smaller ones
Keep the tassel area clear if needed
Check that the cap still lies flat and fits properly
Allow the cap to dry completely before wearing it
Test that all decorations are firmly attached before graduation day
