Use a diatonic harmonica
Start with hole 4, 5, or 6 draw bends
Relax your throat and jaw
Keep your tongue low and back
Shape your mouth as if saying “ooo” or “aw”
Draw air gently, not forcefully
Move your tongue and throat to lower the pitch
Listen for the note to drop
Hold the bend steadily once found
Practice changing between unbent and bent notes
Try hole 2 draw bends after basic control
Try hole 3 draw bends for deeper bends
Practice slowly and consistently
Use a tuner to check pitch
Avoid overblowing or excessive air pressure
Keep the harmonica sealed comfortably with your lips
Repeat short exercises daily
Match the bend to the target note by ear
Stay relaxed while playing
Stop if you feel strain
