Open Instagram and go to the profile of the account you want to block
Tap the three dots in the top right corner
Select Block
Choose Block this account or Block this account and new accounts they may create
Tap Block to confirm
To block from a chat, open the conversation
Tap the person’s name at the top
Tap Block
Confirm the block
To block from comments or followers, open their profile from the list
Tap the three dots
Select Block
Confirm the block
To unblock later, go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Open Settings and privacy
Tap Blocked
Select the account
Tap Unblock
Confirm the action
