Thaw frozen crab legs in the refrigerator overnight, or under cold running water for 15 to 20 minutes
Fill a large pot with enough water to fully cover the crab legs
Add salt to the water, if desired
Bring the water to a boil over high heat
Add the crab legs to the boiling water
Boil for 4 to 6 minutes if the crab legs are thawed
Boil for 6 to 8 minutes if the crab legs are frozen
Remove the crab legs with tongs
Drain well
Serve hot with melted butter, lemon, or seasoning of choice
