How To Brew Green Tea?

Choose green tea type (sencha, sencha/bancha, gyokuro, matcha, jasmine green tea)

Use fresh, filtered water

Heat water to 70–80°C (158–176°F)

Preheat the teapot/cup with hot water, then discard

Use 2–3 g tea per 100–150 ml water (or 1 tsp per cup)

Add tea to the vessel

Pour hot water over the tea

Steep for 1–3 minutes

Strain or pour off immediately after steeping

Taste and adjust: shorter time for bitterness, longer time for stronger flavor

For multiple infusions (optional), re-steep 30–60 seconds longer each time using the same leaves

For matcha (optional), sift matcha and whisk with ~70–80°C water until frothy
