How To Broil Lobster?

Preheat the broiler on high

Split the lobster tails lengthwise with kitchen shears

Remove the vein and loosen the meat from the shell slightly

Place the lobster meat on top of the shell

Brush with melted butter

Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic or paprika

Arrange on a broiler-safe pan or baking sheet

Broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat

Cook until the meat is opaque and lightly browned, about 8 to 12 minutes depending on size

Baste once or twice with butter during broiling if desired

Remove when the internal temperature reaches 140°F to 145°F

Serve immediately with lemon wedges and melted butter
